ZONG’s grand song creates epic momentum; while he also enjoys writing pop music. With a well-rooted classical music background, he is the adherent of multi-element music. ZONG expresses the authentic emotions and soul of the composer. His music reaches the listeners ears with blasts of lucid images and inspires the hidden imaginations of the individual.

During the process of songwriting, ZONG usually uses MIDI as his media. Taking advantage of MIDI, he is able to listen to the result immediately. Due to the fact that MIDI can accurately reproduce the sound of different instruments, almost all of the recordings are produced with MIDI. Nowadays, many concerts, recitals, and media performances need the assistance of MIDI in order to conveniently control the sound effects and recording equipment.

On the other hand, ZONG also has the ability to compose orchestral score on his own. Compare with MIDI, ZONG prefers live performances, where melodies are played out with warm hearts. While ZONG is alone in the studio composing, he utilizes MIDI to overlap and remix, pushing sound effects to the fullest. Yet, when it comes to composing for live performances, he flexibly inserts some touches of MIDI to enhance and support, creating astonishing crossover effects. In 2013, ZONG used MIDI’s digital music and effects to compose for the recital and instrumental album of his album, “Moment of Glory”. ZONG personally used computer and electronic instruments to complete the performances. In other words, every note is written down by ZONG with MIDI, from composing, songwriting, recording to post-production. He infuses music production with the art of sound effect. While in live performance, the instruments and MIDI amalgamate into a perfect enjoyment for our ears.
